Editorial Policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026

What we publish

Insurance Asset News covers factual developments relevant to insurance investment: regulatory actions and consultations, transactions, results and disclosures, mandate and personnel changes, and market analysis. We publish when something has verifiably happened; we do not publish speculation presented as fact.

How stories are produced

IAN uses purpose-built automated systems to monitor regulators, exchanges, company disclosures and reputable trade and financial media, and to research and draft coverage from those materials. Automated drafting operates under human editorial direction: selection standards, verification requirements and publication thresholds are set and reviewed by our editors, and stories that fail verification checks are held rather than published.

Sourcing and attribution

Stories are grounded in identifiable public sources — regulatory notices, exchange announcements, company statements and filings, and named media reports. Where a story derives from a primary document, we aim to link to it. We do not fabricate quotations or attribute statements to people who did not make them.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly. If you believe something we have published is wrong, contact us via the Contact page with the headline and the issue; material corrections are made in the article itself.

Independence and conflicts

Editorial coverage is not for sale. Commercial relationships, where they exist, do not influence story selection or treatment, and sponsored or partner content is always clearly labelled as such. IAN does not provide investment, legal or actuarial advice; nothing we publish should be read as a recommendation.

Archive dates

Some articles in our archive carry the date of the events they describe rather than the date the article was added to the site, so that the archive reads in historical order. Where an older story is deliberately resurfaced, we aim to label it clearly.
