Terms of use and notice

A subscriber accepts these terms before their first run and is asked again whenever the terms or the notice change.

DRAFT — pending legal review. The terms and the notice have not been settled by a lawyer and will be replaced. They are shown, and acceptance recorded, so the tool is never used without them.

Terms of use

  1. The report is a screening aid, not accounting advice. It is an opinion on the contractual terms of the document you upload, produced to help a reviewer find the features that matter. A qualified person must sign off any classification decision.
  2. The verdict depends entirely on the document assessed. You choose the file. It is not verified as the governing offering document for the name you type, and the instrument name is a label only. Upload the wrong document and the verdicts describe the wrong instrument.
  3. Insurance Asset News accepts no liability for a classification decision taken in reliance on a report, in whole or in part, however that reliance arises.
  4. Uploaded documents and reports are retained so an assessment can be audited. They are held privately and are not published.
  5. You have read the notice at the foot of this page and accept that the output is an opinion and a screening aid, and never a determination.

Terms version 2026-08-draft-3.

This is a screening aid, not a determination

  • It is an opinion. This report is a screening aid. It is not accounting, audit, legal, tax or investment advice, and it is not a determination of anything.
  • It covers one document, and we did not choose it. The assessment is based solely on the document you supplied. That document has not been independently verified as the governing offering document for the instrument named. If the wrong document was uploaded, the verdicts describe the wrong instrument.
  • The classification is yours. IFRS 9 classification is the responsibility of the reporting entity and its auditors. Verify every result independently before relying on it for any financial reporting, valuation or investment decision.
  • The engine can misread a document. A verdict of further enquiry means the document was silent or ambiguous on that point, not that the instrument fails. Treat every verdict as a prompt to read the clause quoted beside it.
  • No liability, and no professional relationship. Insurance Asset News accepts no liability for any decision taken in reliance on this output. Using this tool creates no professional relationship and is not a substitute for professional advice.
