Participating asset owners cited data quality and standardisation most often among AI challenges, with 75% naming it.
Only one asset owner in a joint study by the Thinking Ahead Institute and MSCI Institute described AI as foundational to its technology infrastructure for portfolio analysis and management. Even so, 70% of participants expected AI to reach that position within two years, according to MSCI Institute's public account of the study, published on 13 October.
