The Bank of England on Thursday said the Monetary Policy Committee judged that the current stance of monetary policy remained appropriate.

### Key changes include:

• Bank rate: The Committee kept Bank Rate at 0.1%.

• Quantitative easing targets: The Committee maintained its target stock of government bond purchases at £875 billion and the total target stock of asset purchases at £895 billion.

• Inflation outlook: The Bank of England expected inflation to rise further in the coming months, before falling back to its 2% target in around two years' time; the Committee's central expectation was that current elevated global and domestic cost pressures would prove transitory.
