Fitch expects Bermuda to keep most of the offshore pool, 72 per cent of it affiliated at year-end 2025.
Fitch Ratings has put the reserves US life insurers cede to offshore reinsurers at $1.3 trillion in 2025, a rise of nearly 190 per cent from 2020. Bermuda accounted for 85 per cent of that offshore total.
