    Gilt yields rise 10bp to 17bp from 17 to 24 September, with the longest maturities rising least

    UK gilt spot yields rose between 10bp and 17bp from two to 40 years between 17 September, the day the Bank of England published its slower gilt-sales plan, and 24 September. The 30-year yield rose 12bp against 15bp at 10 years. PIC's half-year results show one annuity writer moving towards gilts: government bonds rose to 48% of its portfolio while corporate bonds fell.
