Aegon posted a full-year net loss of €199 million despite the operating capital generation exceeding initial guidance.
Aegon's operating capital generation from its units reached €660 million in the second half of 2023, taking the full-year total to €1,280 million and exceeding the initial guidance for the year. The company said the result reflected strong performance at Transamerica in the US, its UK workplace business and its joint venture in Brazil.
