The project will be managed by ProperTies Living as its first Midlands scheme.

Royal London Asset Management today said it had completed the forward-funding of Bicycle Works through its Living Fund, backing a 331-home build-to-rent scheme in Wolverhampton as the first phase of the wider Smithgate regeneration.

The homes will be managed by ProperTies Living, RLAM’s residential operating platform, with Bicycle Works becoming its first scheme in the Midlands. The investment adds the West Midlands to RLAM’s growing residential portfolio, following build-to-rent acquisitions in Slough, Bracknell, Barking and Watford.

Bicycle Works will comprise 331 one- and two-bedroom apartments across three buildings on a two-acre site, and practical completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.
