Hans Georgeson has stepped down as chief executive of Royal London Asset Management after five years in the role, Royal London said on 3 September. Barry O’Dwyer, Royal London’s group chief executive, will begin a search for a permanent successor, and group chief financial officer Daniel Cazeaux has been appointed to the role in the interim.
Cazeaux, a chartered accountant, joined Royal London in 2020 from KPMG in the UK, where he was a partner leading client teams supporting UK and global financial services companies. He has been closely involved in RLAM’s strategy and in the development of Royal London’s private markets ambitions, including the acquisition of Dalmore Capital, a UK-based infrastructure investment manager. Cazeaux will join the boards of Royal London Asset Management, Royal London Unit Managers and Royal London Unit Trust Managers, and will remain on the Royal London Mutual Insurance Society board.
RLAM manages around £212 billion in assets and reported record inflows for 2025, according to Funds Europe. Funds Europe reported that RLAM acquired Dalmore, a £6 billion manager, in the same year. The publication also reported that RLAM’s chief investment officer, Piers Hillier, departed in 2025, and that RLAM closed its Smaller Companies fund in July this year.
